This is a simple animation, but it gets a lot of reaction from young visitors. I am often asked how the ore cars got loaded with ore. Of course I’ll start into a story about sharp curves inside the mountain, little men with shovels that load the ore . . . This is about the time the little folks know they are being teased.

Control is again accomplished by an Arduino. I will set both trains (you did realize there were two trains) on the track and switch on the power to that animation. The Arduino first sends both trains, one at a time, into the mine. The Arduino then sends out the empty train, stops at the station for a while, then enters the mine. After a short period the loaded mine train makes an appearance, then back in. Having the Arduino control both trains guarantees that only one train is seen at a time.
